An injured evening bat was found grounded outside of a drugstore in Missouri, Texas. We provided guidance on how to safely contain the bat and located a bat-trained rescuer in the finder’s area. The bat was transferred to a rescuer where he/she will be assessed for hopeful release back to the wild.
Texas – bats trapped in auto section of Walmart
Two Mexican free-tail bats were found trapped inside of the automotive section of the Walmart in Graham, Texas. The employees safely collected them, and gave us a call. We sent a transport volunteer right away, and the bats were brought to us where they will be assessed for hopeful release back to the wild.

Tennessee – bat roosting in shed
A big brown bat was found roosting in a shed on a rafter outside of Knoxville, Tennessee. After viewing photos, he was found to be completely healthy, and simply using the shed as a temporary roosting spot. That night, the bat flew away to find a better spot for the winter.
