LASTING WAYS TO HELP
IRA ACCOUNTS
The ability to make a donation from IRA accounts is now part of the U.S. tax code. Your gift amount will count toward your Required Minimum Distribution, and your taxable income is lowered by the amount of your qualified charitable distribution. Note that gifts must be completed before December 31 to be eligible in the current tax year. In order to make a gift, you must be at least age 70.5 years old and the check should come directly from your IRA account. Your gift may come from a Traditional or a Roth IRA, although special exclusions may apply to other types of IRA accounts. There is no tax deduction, however, there is NO income tax on the amount withdrawn. Checks may be sent to:

GIVING STOCKS
Talk to your financial advisor about supporting Bat World Sanctuary by making a gift of stocks, bonds, or mutual funds. In addition to making a difference for bats, a gift of appreciated securities offers you significant benefits. These include an immediate charitable deduction for the full market value of the stock and avoidance of capital gains taxes that would normally be due upon sale.
LEAVING A LEGACY
Leaving a gift to Bat World Sanctuary in your will or trust will make a lasting and compassionate difference to our worldwide rescue work for bats. You can remove Bat World Sanctuary as a beneficiary if your desires change.
