A concerned caller in Green Bay, WI came across a grounded bat on the sidewalk. However, as they were speaking to us, the bat was able to fly away. It appeared that the bat was flying high and strong, so he was likely okay and ended up on the ground accidentally. We provided guidance on how to safely contain bats in the future and located a bat-trained rescuer in the finder’s area so that the caller can get in touch with them right away if they ever find another bat in need of help.
