A man in Tumwater, WA, found a bat underneath a cedar tree in his yard. The bat was unable to fly and was grounded. The bat was alive but was barley moving and needed to get to a rescuer as soon as possible. We provided guidance on how to safely contain the bat and located a bat-trained rescuer in the finder’s area. The bat was transferred to a rescuer where he/she will be assessed for hopeful release back to the wild.
