A juvenile Eastern red bat was found grounded in a homeowner’s front yard in Mineral Wells, Texas. She scooped the little one up just in the nick of time, as neighborhood cats were heading towards the little guy. We provided guidance on how to safely contain the bat and sent a transport volunteer right away. The bat was brought to us where he will be assessed for hopeful release back to the wild.
