A Mexican free-tail bat was grounded after flying into the display window of a boutique in Mineral Wells, TX. The finders immediately contacted Bat World Sanctuary for advice and containment instructions. We rescued the bat, who has wing wasting disease which likely affected her ability to fly. She will require several weeks in care before being released. In the meantime, we will provide antibiotics and supportive care until her wing membrane heals.
