A juvenile red bat was found grounded in an Eastland, TX carport. We provided guidance on how to safely contain the bat and finder voluntarily made the hour-long drive to transport little “Fern” to our sanctuary. We rescued the young bat, who is thin and dehydrated but otherwise in good shape. She will require a week or so in care before she is strong enough to be released back to the wild.
