Clucky, a female Mexican free-tail bat, became stuck on the overhang of a drive-thru in Mineral Wells, TX. The restaurant staff members noticed little Clucky and called Bat World Sanctuary immediately for help. Bat World Staff member, Addison, carefully scaled 13 feet on a tall ladder and pried the bat loose. Clucky received antibiotics and pain medicine for her wing injury, as well as fluids and a hearty meal. She will overwinter here at the sanctuary then be released in the spring to continue her essential job of eating pesky mosquitoes and crop-damaging moths.
