A Mexican free-tail bat wound up in a homeowners garage in Dickinson, Texas. Hoping to get the bat to fly out, the homeowner knocked the bat from the wall with a broom, breaking its wing in the process. Thankfully, they decided to call us. We provided guidance on how to safely contain the bat and located a bat-trained rescuer in the finder’s
area. The bat was transferred to a rescuer where he/she will be assessed for hopeful release back to the wild, depending upon the severity of the break.
