Texas- bat flying inside of bowling alley- photo available

February 27, 2023

A Mexican free-tail was found flying about a bowling alley in Mineral Wells, Texas. The building owner, wanting to ensure the bat was safe, gave us a call to come and help. The kind employees were able to contain the bat safely and once we arrived, we did a quick evaluation and transferred him to our bat transport hut. He was named Rick by the employee that caught him. Little Rick will remain with us for a day or two before being released.
