A free-tailed bat flew into a large plate glass window in McGregor, TX. A Bat World Sanctuary made the 5 hour round-trip to bring the injured boy to Bat World MidCities, where it was discovered that he had sustained a broken wing. On arrival, he was warmed in an incubator and then given an injection of warmed electrolytes, pain medication, and antibiotics to get him stabilized, and then his wing injury was treated. Unfortunately, his wing injury will prevent him from flying again, but he will join the other permanent residents receiving lifetime care with Bat World MidCities.
