A lady in McKinney, TX found a bat pup on the ground by her bird feeder. The pup was being attacked by a blue jay and was severely injured on the wing. The pup was also dehydrated and needed help as soon as possible. We provided guidance on how to safely contain the bat and located a bat-trained rescuer in the finder’s area. The baby was transferred to a rescuer where he/she will be hand-raised and released when old enough to survive.
