A homeowner in Astoria, OR witnessed a baby bat being pushed out from under a shingle in her home where the pup’s colony was roosting. The little bat fell a short distance into the shrubs below and was clinging to the branches of a bush. We provided guidance on how to safely contain the bat and located a bat-trained rescuer in the finder’s area. The baby was transferred to a rescuer where he/she will be hand-raised and released when old enough to survive.
