A baby bat was very lucky to be seen in the grass by a homeowner in Sandusky, OH before he met an unfortunate end. The finder had been mowing the lawn when he noticed the tiny bat laying in the grass. We provided guidance on how to safely contain the bat and located a bat-trained rescuer in the finder’s area. The baby was transferred to a rescuer where he/she will be hand-raised and released when old enough to survive.
