A homeowner in Kings Mountain, NC thankfully found a very emaciated and dehydrated bat pup before it was too late. The little one was in critical condition and appeared to be without mom for a long time. We provided guidance on how to safely contain the pup and located a bat-trained rescuer in the finder’s area. The baby was quickly transferred to a rescuer where he/she will be hand-raised and released when old enough to survive.
