A homeowner in Lincoln, NE discovered a small bat clinging to a window screen in her home. The bat seemed to be stuck between the screen and the window, so the finder used gloves to gently remove the little bat, who appeared very weak and dehydrated. We provided guidance on how to safely contain the bat and located a bat-trained rescuer in the finder’s area. The bat was transferred to a rescuer where he/she will be assessed for hopeful release back to the wild.
