While out shopping in St. Louis, MO a couple noticed a small bat clinging to the side of a light pole out in the open parking lot. It was broad daylight and the little bat looked terrified, so the couple quickly ran into a shop to grab a cloth and a secure box to contain the bat. We located a bat-trained rescuer in the finder’s area and the bat was transferred to a rescuer where he/she will be assessed for hopeful release back to the wild.
