A caller from Dallas, TX discovered an Eastern red bat lying out in the open parking of his apartment complex lot early in the morning. Not wanting to leave the bat defenseless and helpless, the finder quickly gave us a call. We provided guidance on how to safely contain the bat and located several Bat World Sanctuary trained rescuers in the finder’s area. The bat was transferred to Bat World MidCities where he will be assessed for hopeful release back to the wild.
