A man in Salem, MA found an evening bat in his pool umbrella. He was getting ready to set up for a party and found an evening bat tucked inside of the folds of his favorite umbrella. Evening bats are notorious for roosting in the folds of umbrellas and feel very safe there. We convinced the finder to allow the evening bat to stay as long as possible, and if she does need to open the umbrella then to do it after dark so the bat will have a chance to safely fly away.
