A homeowner in Overland Park, KS, found 2 baby bats found on ground outside on his front porch. The baby bats were orphaned and very dehydrated. One of the baby bats had scratches on him from either a cat attack or a fall.  We provided guidance on how to safely contain the bats and located a bat-trained rescuer in the finder’s area. The babies were transferred to a rescuer where they will be hand-raised and released when old enough to survive.
