A baby bat was caught by a cat in Prairie, ID. We provided guidance on how to safely contain the pup and located a bat trained rescuer in the finder’s area. The baby was transferred to a rescuer where she will be hand-raised and given supportive until her injuries heal and she is old enough to be released back to the wild.
Please know that we like cats as well. Outside of ferals, cats should not be allowed to roam outside and create havoc with defenseless wildlife. Please consider a “catio” or screened porch to allow your furry feline friend to enjoy the fresh air without risking their safety or endangering the small wild animals who may be passing by.
