A lady in Sarasota, FL, found a bat stuck in her garage door. The baby bat had been there for a few hours and the wing seemed injured and dehydrated. She was able to get the wing unstuck from the garage door and we provided guidance on how to safely contain the bat and located a bat-trained rescuer in the finder’s area. The baby was transferred to a rescuer where he/she will be hand-raised and released when old enough to survive.
