In addition to the 700 permanent residents cared for daily at Bat World Sanctuary, the following bats were rescued and released back to the wild (or were provided permanent sanctuary with us if they were not releasable). Texas – bats found flying inside resort

A manager discovered about 50 bats flying around inside a resort in Pottsboro, TX. We located a humane exclusion company near him to safely relocate the colony.

Maryland – bats inside apartment unit

4 bats were found flying around and trapped in an occupied apartment unit. We instructed management on how to allow the bats to safely leave the dwelling during evening hours.

California – bat found hanging in apartment walkway

Residents found a bat hanging at the top of the walkway wall near their apartment. Photos and videos of the bat indicated he was healthy and temporarily roosting until moving on. The tenants will watch the bat to ensure he remains safe until leaving.
