Oklahoma – bat in driveway
A bat was found in a homeowner’s driveway in Edmond, OK. We provided guidance on how to safely contain the bat and located a bat-trained rescuer in the finder’s area. The bat was transferred to a rescuer where he/she will be assessed for hopeful release back to the wild.
Texas – bats in drive through
Two free-tail bats were found hanging low in a bank drive through in Mineral Wells, TX. We rescued the bats, who were thankfully in good shape. They were released into our bat castle where they are free to leave at will at nightfall.
California – bats trapped in light fixture
Bats somehow became trapped in a homeowner’s light fixture in Sebastopol, CA. We provided guidance on how to safely contain the bat and located a bat-trained rescuer in the finder’s area. The bat was transferred to a rescuer where he/she will be assessed for hopeful release back to the wild.
Texas – bat caught by cat
A free-tail bat was caught by a cat in Santo, TX. We provided guidance on how to safely contain the bat and sent a transport volunteer right away. The bat was brought to us where he will be assessed for hopeful release back to the wild.
Florida – small bat found grounded
A Mexican freetail juvenile was found grounded in Tallahassee, FL. The concerned finder was able to safely contain the bat, and then gave us a call. We located a bat-trained rescuer in the finder’s area. The bat was transferred to a rescuer where he/she will be assessed for hopeful release back to the wild.

A concerned caller from Bear River, UT had discovered a helpless little bat hiding under some scrap wood on his porch.
