California- bat stuck to flypaper

September 6

A homeowner near Ramona, CA discovered a bat stuck on a hanging sticky fly trap. We provided guidance on how to keep the bat safely and comfortably contained and located a Bat World Sanctuary trained rescuer in the finders area, but unfortunately the bat passed away before being transported to the rescuer. The homeowner was given information on how to avoid things like this in the future.
