We love sharing good news with our supporters and that’s what this email is all about. ☺
Unlike this time last year, 2021 has been shaping up well for Bat World Sanctuary. We have had very few bats needing to be rescued from both the wild and the cruel, exotic pet trade (although orphan season is just around the corner so we are gearing up for that).
In other news, thanks to an anonymous donor, we recently purchased a 5,000 gallon water tank in the event another “great freeze emergency” occurs like the one Texas experienced this past February. It is a huge relief to know that not only will we have electricity with our back-up generator, we will now also have enough water on hand to last 7 to 10 days in the event of another major freeze. This photo shows the water tank after it just arrived. We plan to insulate and enclose the tank as funds allow.
In feel-good and funny news, please enjoy the following clips.
This release, one of the most beautiful we have ever seen, is of a long-eared bat rescued by Bat World Bulgaria after he fell onto the head of a grandmother, and HE was knocked out in the process. With a few days of supportive care in the wonderful hands of Viara, Director of Bat World Bulgaria, he was ready to go free.
This second video features our rescued goats who help to “mow” Bat World’s property. A live-feed camera was just installed inside “Goat Chateau”. It is one of seven live-feed cams streamed 24/7 on this link. VOLUME UP!
As always, thank you for helping us make our world a happier place through your support. ♥
