A local in Janesville, WI was in the right place at the right time when she came across a small bat lying on the ground out in the open. It was a very busy public park, with people, children, and pets around, so the finder quickly went home to grab a box that the bat could be safely contained in. We provided guidance on how to safely contain the bat and located a bat-trained rescuer in the finder’s area. The bat was transferred to a rescuer where he/she will be assessed for hopeful release back to the wild.
