A caller from Riverdale GA, was concerned when a bat that had been roosting on their porch had not moved in a few days. After seeing a photo of the little bat it was apparent he was thin and dehydrated. We provided guidance on how to safely contain the bat and located a bat-trained rescuer in the finder’s area. The bat was transferred to a rescuer where he/she will be assessed for hopeful release back to the wild.
