A man in Whitt, TX, found an Eastern red bat on the ground with a possible wing injury. We provided guidance on how to safely contain the bat and the finder was willing to bring the bat to us directly.  The bat was brought to us where he will be assessed for hopeful release back to the wild. After examining the Eastern red bat he will not be releasable due to his wing injury.
