A lady in Bermond, TX found an Eastern red bat who was perfectly healthy on the ground, under her tree in the backyard. The bat had likely been chased from a tree by a blue jay. We provided guidance as seen on this link on how to get the small family back into a tree. We also asked the caller to please let us know if any babies were abandoned so we could rescue them and hand raise them if needed.
