A business owner in Mineral Wells, TX was startled when a small bat suddenly ran across the floor of their shop. In their state of panic, they quickly grabbed a broom and swept the poor little bat out the door onto the sidewalk. When closing the shop later that evening, they noticed the pup was still on the sidewalk, so they gave us a call. We quickly headed down to the shop, where the baby was still thankfully in the same spot. We rescued the pup, who was now critically dehydrated, and will hand-raise him with other orphans until he/she is old enough to survive in the wild.
