A finder near Tennessee Colony, TX discovered a pair of orphaned red bat pups lying alone in the grass. They could visibly see that the little bats had been without mom for some time, as they appeared very thin and dehydrated.  We provided guidance on how to safely contain the bat and located a Bat World Sanctuary trained rescuer in the finder’s area. The bat was transferred to a rescuer where he/she will be hand-raised and released when old enough to survive in the wild
