A lady in Nederland, TX,  found an eastern red bat with her babies still attached to her on the ground under an oak tree in her yard. The bats had likely been chased from a tree by a blue jay. We provided guidance as seen on this link on how to get the small family back into a tree. We also asked the caller to please let us know if any babies were abandoned so we could rescue them and hand raise them if needed.
