An evening bat was found inside an umbrella several days in a row at a residence in Weatherford, TX. Each time the finders removed him from the umbrella and let him fly away, he always came right back to the umbrella. The last time they attempted to release him,  he flopped to the ground and would not fly away. We provided guidance on how to safely contain the bat and sent a transport volunteer right away. The bat was brought to us where he will be assessed for hopeful release back to the wild.
