An Eastern red bat was found hanging in a breezeway in Allen, Texas. Concerned for the bats safety, the finder sent photos over to us for evaluation. Thankfully, the bat appeared uninjured and  well groomed. We explained that roosting up high is typical behavior for juvenile bats just learning to fly so the bat is likely okay. If the bat does not fly away in the next few days the homeowner will call us back.
