A couple found a juvenile red bat wedged in the bark of a tree about 5’ from the ground. After the bat had not moved in over 24 hours, they became concerned and called us. We provided guidance on how to safely contain the bat and located a bat-trained rescuer in the finder’s area. The bat was transferred to a rescuer where she will be assessed for hopeful release back to the wild.
