A grounded bat was unnoticed by a passerby in Louisville, KY who unfortunately stepped on the little bat. He seemed okay, but the caller noticed damage to the bat’s wing and was unsure if it was a prior injury or was from getting stepped on. We provided guidance on how to safely contain the bat and located a bat-trained rescuer in the finder’s area. The bat was transferred to a rescuer where she will be assessed for hopeful release back to the wild.
