A bat was found clinging to a window screen in Fountain Hills, AZ. The finder scooped the bat into a jar and took it outside and released it. Upon doing this, the finder watched as a bird swooped down and snatched the bat out of the air, as it struggled to fly. Only after this happened were we contacted. We provided guidance on how to safely contain bats in the future and provided the information for a bat-trained rescuer in the finder’s area so any bats found could be transferred to a rescuer where they can be assessed for hopeful release back to the wild.
