A severely dehydrated and thin hoary bat was found grounded in an Eastland, TX backyard.  We provided guidance on how to safely contain the bat and sent a transport volunteer to make the 1-hr drive from Bat World Sanctuary to Eastland right away. The bat was brought to us where he was treated and assessed for hopeful release back to the wild.
