A bat with a punctured lung was found in Youngstown, OH. The finder was initially instructed to place the bat into a tree by the first center he called. We guided the finder into getting the bat back into a box with a secure lid along with a soft cloth and a shallow dish of water, then contacted a different wildlife center to alert them about the bat who will need immediate help. The finder was unable to drive so we found a transport volunteer to pick up the bat and take him to the wildlife center. The bat should have a good chance to recover.
