A bat pup was found grounded on a back porch by homeowners in Beech Grove, Indiana. The pup had likely fallen from a nearby roost, but as the pup had been down for quite some time, rescue intervention was needed.  We provided guidance on how to safely contain the pup and located a bat trained rescuer in the finder’s area. The baby was transferred to a rescuer where he/she will be hand-raised and released when old enough to survive in the wild.
