A juvenile bat was found roosting on the side of a busy business in Hernando, Florida. The finder called and we advised to capture a photo of the bat for further evaluation, and the bat was found to be healthy and old enough to be on her own. Since the bat was in a very busy spot, the business wanted to bat relocated. We provided guidance on how to safely contain the bat and then releasing her at nightfall after the sun has gone down, by taking the box outside, placing it up on something high, then turning it on its side so the bat can fly off.
