An Eastern red bat pup was found grounded and alone in Athens, Texas. With no mom in sight, the finders contained the pup and called us right away.  We located a bat trained rescuer in the finder’s area. The baby was transferred to a rescuer where he/she will be hand-raised and released when old enough to survive in the wild.
