A red bat juvenile was seen clinging to the edge of a trash can at a gas station in Nacogdoches, TX.  Thankfully the bat was uninjured and likely just chased from a tree by a blue jay or crow. We provided guidance on how to safely contain the bat and then releasing him at nightfall after the sun has gone down, by taking the box outside, placing it up on something high, then turning it on its side so he can fly off.
