A mother red bat and her two pups were caught by a cat in Sulphur, LA. We provided guidance on how to safely contain the bats and located a bat trained rescuer in the finder’s area. The mom and pups will receive supportive care until their injuries heal and they can be released back to the wild.

Please know that we like cats as well. Outside of ferals, cats should not be allowed to roam outside and create havoc with defenseless wildlife. Please consider a “catio” or screened porch to allow your furry feline friend to enjoy the fresh air without risking their safety or endangering the small wild animals who may be passing by.
