A hoary bat was found grounded in Franklinton, NC. Thankfully the bat was uninjured and likely just chased from tree by a blue jay or crow. We provided guidance on how to safely contain the bat and then releasing him at nightfall after the sun has gone down, by taking the box outside, placing it up on something high, then and turning it on its side and so the bat can fly off.
