Texas – bat grounded with wing injury – photo available

December 16, 2022

A free-tail bat was found grounded and missing most of his wing fingers. He was rescued by Bat World MidCitieswhere he was also found to be dehydrated and thin, but after warming up and receiving antibiotics, pain medication, and an injection of warmed electrolytes, he was able to eat a little. His wing injury means his flying days are over, but he will have a forever home with the other non-releasable bats at Bat World Sanctuary.
