An evening bat was found grounded, wet and cold in Dallas, Texas after a cold rain storm hit the area. We provided guidance on how to safely contain the bat and located a Bat World Sanctuary trained rescuer in the finder’s area. The bat was transferred to Bat World MidCities where he was found to have a torn wing membrane but is otherwise in fgood shape. He will be provided supportive care until the spring when it is warm enough for him to be released.
