In addition to the 700 permanent residents cared for daily at Bat World Sanctuary, the following bats were rescued and released back to the wild (or were provided permanent sanctuary with us if they were not releasable). A red bat was found under an awning in Cypress, TX. The bat appeared healthy and well groomed. We explained that roosting under eaves is typical behavior for bats this time of year so the bat is likely okay. If the bat does not fly away by morning the caller will contact a rescuer in her area.
