National Workshops for Animal Control-Continuing Education

National Animal Control Officer Training

Bat World Sanctuary offers several training programs related to wildlife issues for Animal Control agencies in Texas, as approved by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS). These programs may be available to Animal Control departments in other states, with appropriate approval from regulatory agencies. The following programs may be eligible for ACO continuing education credit hours outside of Texas.

b. Developing an Effective Wildlife Management SOP For Your Agency (4 hours)
c. To the Bat Phone!/That’s Not a Puppy! (4 hours)
d. Introduction to General Wildlife Rehabilitation (4 hours)
e. Introduction to Bat Rehabilitation (4 hours)
f. Cross-species Transmission of Infectious Diseases/White Nose Syndrome (4 hours)

Before requesting a workshop, please review the proposal document here to ensure your agency will be able to meet the host requirements.
